Alfred H. Caine, son of Utah Territorial Delegate John Thomas Caine and Margaret Nightingale, was born 19 December 1860 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Margaret Ann Mitchell, also of Salt Lake City, on 16 March 1882. Together they had two children before Caine died in 1890.
